Eddie and Frank Thomas

SO LONG RIVER

Late on the afternoon of August 8, 2004, Frank and Eddie Thomas caught a rare glimpse of the Mississippi Queen making her way upstream on the Mississippi River past Mhoon Landing.  As the sun went down, Frank filmed the paddle wheeler passing. Later, Eddie wrote So Long River.

The Mississippi Queen is no more. She was taken off the river and in 2011 disassembled for parts.
