THE BLUES TOUR
In 1995 the Thomas brothers conceived Angels on the Backroads. After several years of research, they began traveling the backroads and byways along Highway 61, Memphis to New Orleans. From 1998 to 2001 they recorded their versions of 65 blues and jazz classics at locations significant to each song's origin. In 2003, they released Angels on the Backroads, a 65 song, 4 CD box set. Eddie and Frank then toured the Mississippi Delta and the United Kingdom from 2004 until 2007 with a multimedia stage show by the same name.
The 1998 to 2001 recording journey that took Eddie and Frank from cottonfields to cathedrals is now available for the armchair adventurer and listener. These recording locations and classic tunes have been waiting for 20 years to again spring out and captivate audiences. With 61 Down the Highway and 19 Angels, they leap forward.
