39. Kassie Jones (Vaughn)
A little before midnight on April 29, 1900, Casey Jones wrecked the Cannonball just outside Vaughn, MS. He was blasting down the railroad tracks toward Jackson. Many a song was written about the famous accident. Almost exactly 100 years later, May 12, 2000, Eddie and Frank recorded their version of Furry Lewis' version that he called Kassie Jones. And Eddie and Frank recorded at the exact spot on the tracks where the wreck took place. How about that!
